The College’s student organizations offer students the chance to demonstrate leadership potential and gain experience outside the classroom. The groups offer academic and social activities and are involved in charitable work in the community.
In addition to building lasting friendships, student organizations provide many benefits including serving as a medium for academic discourse, personal growth, leadership development, intercultural understanding and community service. Moreover, research suggests that involved students tend to perform better academically and are more likely to graduate when compared with their non-involved peers.
Sports Club strives to promote physical and mental well-being through an appreciation of stress, rest and relaxation among EITians. It encourages student-faculty interaction outside classrooms through various sports events on Teacher’s day and during Founders Day. It also provides an opportunity for students to represent the institute at national level tournaments.
The Cultural Club aims to create a home away from home for all the students who are a part of the EIT family. Right from celebrating Independence Day , Kannada Rajothsava, Republic Day with heart touching patriotic performances, the cultural club celebrates all national and religious festivals with zest and vigor.
The NSS Club is a group of Nature lovers who believe in taking initiatives towards pitching conservation efforts at societal level, in the interest of environment. It tries to imbibe love for nature into the lives of all students through flagship activities like cleanliness drives and plantation drives along with other activities such as photography competitions, bird watching camps, star gazing, night trekking, nature quizzes, t-shirt painting and live sketching competition.
